CMT’s 7-1/4″ and 8-1/4″ ITK Fine Finish Blades allow you to produce excellent finish cuts anywhere you can carry your portable saw: in the shop, on the job site, or wherever quality cuts are critical. With a combination of flat and alternate top bevel teeth (40 teeth on the 7-1/4″ blade, 42 on the 8-1/4″), these blades are an excellent choice for crosscut or rip applications. Thanks to CMT’s new thin kerf design, our Fine Finish Blades deliver this performance with a minimum of stock removal, meaning there’s less stress on the blade and your saw. Fine Finish Blades also include Micrograin Carbide Teeth, Anti-Kickback Design, Tri-Metal Brazing and all the other great ITK features, plus complete safety and resharpening instructions.

Is this the blade [CMT P07540 7-1/4″ 40 Teeth 1/16″ kerf] you have used with your table saw to cut splines in boxes? I thought I saw one of your vids where you used this blade, or one like it, to cut splines. And as you have a SawStop table saw, did you need to disable the brake to use this blade?
Hi Robert, That CMT 7-1/4 blade will not work in a SawStop. Even with a dado cartridge in there, it’s still too far away and cannot disable the mechanism. I use it on my Delta saw.
is it available in 20mm. bore?
Sorry, They only make them with 5/8″ bore
With regard to use with a SawStop, are you saying that it will work on the SawStop but the brake won’t work? Or are you saying it won’t fit on the SawStop, period?
It will Not work on a saw stop. I’m trying to find someone who can make an eight inch 1/16th kerf blade.
