CMT’s 7-1/4″ and 8-1/4″ ITK Fine Finish Blades allow you to produce excellent finish cuts anywhere you can carry your portable saw: in the shop, on the job site, or wherever quality cuts are critical. With a combination of flat and alternate top bevel teeth (40 teeth on the 7-1/4″ blade, 42 on the 8-1/4″), these blades are an excellent choice for crosscut or rip applications. Thanks to CMT’s new thin kerf design, our Fine Finish Blades deliver this performance with a minimum of stock removal, meaning there’s less stress on the blade and your saw.   1. Is this the blade [CMT P07540 7-1/4″ 40 Teeth 1/16″ kerf] you have used with your table saw to cut splines in boxes? I thought I saw one of your vids where you used this blade, or one like it, to cut splines. And as you have a SawStop table saw, did you need to disable the brake to use this blade?

    1. Hi Robert, That CMT 7-1/4 blade will not work in a SawStop. Even with a dado cartridge in there, it’s still too far away and cannot disable the mechanism. I use it on my Delta saw.
