This plane (Kanna) is made by third generation plane maker Master Tsunesaburo. This flattening plane is essential for trueing and conditioning the soles of Japanese planes. It can be use as a scraper plane for difficult grain woods. The blade is tempered to 65RC and is installed in a Japanese White Oak body slightly skewed for easy shearing cuts.
