Do you like making Greene and Greene furniture but dread making Ebony plugs. Here William will show you a very simple, fast and consistent way how he can make a square ebony plug in 15 seconds.
William Ng comes from an engineering background and uses a similar approach in his woodworking. Precision, accuracy and efficiency are emphasized in his teaching. His sense of humor, combined with his passion for woodworking makes for an enjoyable learning experience.
William,
I have made hundreds of square ebony plugs using a variation of what was in your video since I made the Blacker Chair in your class and am going to use your method for the shaping the plug next time it is required.
I saw Darrel Peart at the Pasadena Heritage Showcase this last weekend. He told me you are starting to sell wood. I have always been impressed with the quality of the African mahogany you have at the school. Are you selling African Mahogany I would be interested in purchasing ~ 50-75 bd ft.
I will be in the LA area on October 28th will you be around. I would like to bring in my Blacker Chair to show how it turned out.
